Royal Chelsea Hospital Visit.

The Club played host to the Royal Chelsea Hospital known as the Chelsea Pensioners, on the 24th August which turned out to be one of the special days that come along now and again, they are the most charming of guests, and I might add the most drinkable ones, but that is another story ??
Everyone of the members enjoyed the visit so much after the food and singsong, that I think that at one time some of our elderly members were caught trying to get back on the coach with them.
We were informed from Colonel Gilbert the club could well be asked to visit Chelsea next year for a match, I for one will be going, that's for sure.

Finals Day.

Finals Day held on Monday 25th August was as usual a hotly contested affair amongs all the Finalists, thankfully the weather held fair for the contests and was attended by many members. My thanks go to all the members who worked hard on the green, markers, end attendants and the umpire. It only leaves one competition to take place so hopefully Don's foot mends soon.
